Thomas Kempster, President

Tom founded and developed ABC Services into one of New York’s oldest and most trusted solutions providers specializing in IBM power environments since 1994. As President, Tom is the company’s visionary and is responsible for developing strategic partnerships with many industry leaders such as IBM, Microsoft, and VMware to build a successful solution-driven business. Today, ABC Services, with the help of its strategic partnerships works with organizations across the United States and continues to expand its reach.

Tom began his career in 1985 as a computer technical at Systems Configuration Services (SCS) where he was trained on IBM System 3x hardware and software operating systems. In 1989, he was hired by Diversified Data Corp. as their general manager to assist in building a Technical Division to support IBM-specific sales. Tom spearheaded the service division into a successful and profitable entity within just 36 months. He then joined CAC Leasing where his business development experiences further inspired his vision to found ABC Services.

Hal Schwartz, Vice President

Co-founding ABC Services in 1995 with Tom Kempster, Hal currently serves as vice president where he is responsible for the strategic direction of the company, operations, business development, and sales. Over the past two decades, he has honed his expertise in IBM business systems, business continuity and helping organizations increase IT performance while reducing costs.

Hal is also founder of Systems Trading Incorporated, a technology leasing company established in 1997, where he serves as the company’s CEO and president. Prior to founding these two businesses, Hal was with CAC Leasing for six years, where he started a lease asset sales division in 1991. This division was established shortly after he earned his bachelor’s degree in business from California State University in San Bernardino.

Since 2010, Hal has served on the Board of Advisors for Data Storage Corporation, a long-standing leader in cloud storage and cloud computing.

David Yarm, VP of Sales

David Yarm joined ABC Services as a result of the merger between ABC Services and Progressive Technology Group (PTG). As founder and president of PTG, David has almost three decades in the IT industry. He is an IBM Certified Sales Specialist for Power Systems and Power Systems i. While president of PTG, David was responsible for business development, marketing, and the company direction. He has long-standing relationships with customers and software developers within the tri-state area and beyond. Prior to starting his own company in 1991, David was the top producing salesman at AFL, Inc. selling midrange products and services to customers, many of which he still continues to work with to date.

Thomas Simon, Director of U.S. Operations

As the Director of U.S Operations for ABC Services, Thomas Simon is responsible for sales and marketing efforts to grow the company’s brand throughout the mountain states, west and northwest U.S., as well as to maintain existing client relationships in his territory.

Prior to joining ABC Services, Thomas was president & CEO of Marketing Group Business Solutions (MGBS) Inc., which was acquired by ABC Services in 2012. MGBS was a multi-million dollar IT sales and services business that provided traditional and non-traditional business continuity products and commercial business solutions. Before founding MGBS, Thomas held several senior executive positions in sales and management, including: VP of Sales for Phoenix Computer Systems, VP of Sales and Wholesale director for International Computer Sales and co-owner of Belfiore Provisions. He earned an AA degree from Orange Coast College with an emphasis in marketing and a B.A. in economics from University of California at Irvine.
